The Baths
A geological wonder of granite boulders, sea pools and the Cathedral room. Go early.

The baths & north sound
The BVI’s most picturesque island
Christopher Columbus named it the Fat Virgin for the island’s reclining profile. Most visitors come for The Baths National Park: house-sized granite boulders tumbled onto a white beach, forming grottos, tunnels and tidal pools that glow a colour you will not find on a postcard. Arrive at opening if you can. A scramble through Devil’s Bay leads to quieter water. Further north, Savannah Bay is a long, almost undeveloped strand, and North Sound holds some of the Caribbean’s most celebrated resorts — Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Oil Nut Bay, Bitter End — plus the private world of Necker Island just offshore.
